PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell which is hygienic, or which does not impart unpleasant feeling to a user. SOLUTION: In the fuel cell 100 which is equipped with a cell 12 having an anode 10, a cathode 16, and an electrolyte layer 14 pinched by the anode 10 and the cathode 16, and with a cabinet 24 that holds the cell 12 inside, the cabinet 24 has an antibacterial function. Furthermore, in the fuel cell 100 which is equipped with the cell 12 having the anode 10, the cathode 16, and the electrolyte layer 14 pinched by the anode 10 and the cathode 16, and with the cabinet 24 that holds the cell 12 inside, the cabinet 24 has a hydrophilic function.
