Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light emitting device which provides stable white-color light having a high color rendering property without causing a change in emission wavelength of an LED element, and a change in color by a change in characteristics of a phosphor due to heat. SOLUTION: A red-color phosphor 7A having a composition of CaAlSiN3:Eu2+which generates red-color light on the basis of excitation of blue-color light emitted from the LED element 2, and a green-color phosphor 7B having a composition of (Ca0.99)3Sc2Si3O12.015:Ce3+which generates green-color light, are included in a distributed manner in a sealing resin 7. Compared with white color attained on the basis of the relationship of complementary color of blue and yellow, white-color light having a superior color rendering property and a high color reproduction of 76% in terms of NTSC ratio is provided.
