Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rolling bearing of an oil lubricated type that can be stably used without torque increase even in a field requiring high rotation accuracy such as an HDD actuator, and capable of enduring long term use without oiling midterm. SOLUTION: A first layer comprised by bonding a surface modification agent having an alkoxy group is provided on a metal surface of the rolling bearing composed by retaining a plurality of rolling elements 13 between an inner ring 10 and an outer ring 11 via a cage 12, and a second layer comprised of a lubricant is formed on the first layer. The first layer is provided by dipping in liquid containing 0.01-1% of the surface modification agent. The surface modification agent is at least one type from organic titanate, organic silane, and organic aluminum. By intervening the surface modification agent, bonding strength between each metal surface of a rolling bearing member, and the lubricant is reinforced. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
