Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyester stretch fabric and a lining cloth each capable of mitigating the onset of needle-related stripes in sewing operation. SOLUTION: The polyester stretch fabric is such that both of the warps and wefts consist of polyester filament yarns, wherein either the warp or weft is 10-45 dtex in fineness, the other being 50-100 dtex, and the fabric elongation percentage is 5-20% in the direction along the portions using the yarns of greater fineness and the needle-related stripe is 50 mm or less in length in the direction along the portions using the yarns of less fineness.
