PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing and drying machine excellent in washing property effectively using a heat pump device. SOLUTION: The washing and drying machine is equipped with the heat pump device 40 constituted by connecting a compressor 26 compressing coolant, a radiator 23 for radiating the heat of the compressed coolant, a squeezing means 27 reducing the pressure of the high pressure coolant, and a heat absorber 21 receiving heat from the periphery with the coolant becoming a low pressure by decompressing by a tube channel 28 such that the coolant circulates, a water tank 3 resiliently supported in a casing (not shown), a rotary tank (not shown) rotatably provided in the water tank 3 and accommodating clothes 4, a blower 12 sending the air in the water tank 3 into the water tank 3 after flowing it from the heat absorber 21 to the radiator 23, a washing water circulating means 41 circulating the washing water in the water tank 3 through radiator 23, the washing and drying machine can efficiently supply warm water and warm air into the water tank 3 even in a washing process or a rinsing process, and keep the temperature the clothes 4 and the washing water high and constant by circulating the washing water through the radiator 23 and has an excellent washing property.
