Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the consumption of a primary battery of a radio device which supplies electric power to a receiving circuit by the primary battery without lowering the reception sensitivity. SOLUTION: A power supply control circuit 2 which has a receiving antenna 21 and a tuning section 22 independent of a receiving circuit 1 is provided and when a radio wave that the receiving antenna 21 of the power supply control circuit 2 receives is a radio wave for specified frequency, an electronic switch 24 is changed from OFF to ON to supply electric power from a primary battery 25 to the receiving circuit 1; and then the receiving circuit 1 confirms an ID code and when the ID code is coincident, a data processing section 15 turns OFF the electronic switch 24 after specified data processing is performed, but when discrepant, the electronic switch 24 is turned OFF to realize irreducible necessary power consumption of the primary8 battery8 25. Further, the receiving antenna 2 and tuning section 22 independent of the receiving circuit 1 constitute a driving control circuit for the electronic switch 24 to eliminate the attenuation of the reception sensitivity.
