Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide systems and methods for transforming two-dimensional image data into a 3D high density range map. SOLUTION: A video monitoring system 10 may include image sensors 12, 14, 16, 40 adapted to acquire images from at least one region of interest, graphical user interfaces 24, 68 for displaying the images acquired from the image sensors in image frames 56, 74 and a processor 20 for determining geo-location of one or more objects 46 in the image frames. The processor is constituted so as to perform algorithm or a routine 22 adapted to transform the two-dimensional data 54 received from the image sensors into the 3D range map 52 including physical features of one or more objects in the image frames.
