Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a channel switching operating lever which allows operating force to be applied to a lever body positively and with good balance around a rotating shaft of the lever body, to thereby contribute to prevention of occurrence of unnecessary stress, and improved operability, and to provide a water purifier using the operating lever. SOLUTION: The channel switching operating lever is provided with the lever body 22 which is connected to a rotary channel switching valve in a manner unitarily rotatable with the same in a predetermined angular range, and an operating piece 23 protruding from the lever body 22 in a radially outward direction. Herein operation auxiliary projections 24a, 24b are formed in an almost half circular region of an external surface of the lever body 22, on a side opposite to the operating piece 23, at locations that are almost symmetrical with respect to a segment p passing the tip of the operating piece 23 and a rotational center of the lever body 22. Then the thumb of the operator is placed on the operating piece 23, and the fore finger and the middle finger are placed on the operating auxiliary projections 24a, 24b, respectively, whereby the lever body 22 can be rotatively operated.
