Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect data in a terminal when the terminal is stolen and so on without placing a burden on a normal user. SOLUTION: A data protection method is provided with a step 402 for delivering an encryption circuit from a management server 20 via a network to a dynamic reconfiguration device 220 built in a terminal 10, after registering the terminal identifier 10 of the terminal in the management server 20 (step 401); a step 404 for causing the terminal to automatically send the terminal identifier to the management server during start; a step 405 for causing the management server 20 to determine whether the terminal is stolen or lost according to the received terminal identifier; and a step 406 for delivering a decryption circuit to the dynamic reconfiguration device 220 of the terminal when the terminal is not stolen nor lost.
