Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealed structure of a radioactive material storage vessel for improving reliability in the sealing of the radioactive material storage vessel and maintaining sealing reliability, when the radioactive material storage containers fall or collide. SOLUTION: In the sealed structure of the radioactive material storage vessel 20, having a shell body 2 that stores a radioactive material R, at least in a cavity 2b and provides a neutron shield 6 around the cavity 2b, a lid section 3 mounted to the shell body 2, and sealing means (gaskets 10a, 10b) for sealing the shell body 2 and the lid section 3, the lid section 3 has a primary lid 7 mounted to the inside of an opening 2a and a secondary lid 8 mounted to the outside of the primary lid 7. A sealing member 12, having flexibility at least in the radial direction of the shell body 2, is welded to the drum body and is mounted between the secondary lid 8 and the primary lid 7, which differs from the sealing means.
