Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of efficiently recovering fluorine which can efficiently reduce the fluorine concentration of a fluorine-containing solution, can prevent the occurrence of problems such as clogging of piping, and also has been improved in handling property. SOLUTION: When recovering fluorine in a fluorine-containing solution by generating calcium fluoride by mixing the fluorine-containing solution and gypsum, a dry gypsum dihydrate, of which the water content due to adhering water is 3.0% or lower, is used as the gypsum. As the fluorine-containing solution, a fluorine-containing drain generated in the process for manufacturing metallic tantalum or niobium powder, for instance, is cited.
