PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that a person can burn himself/herself due to contact with a fired incense when the person extends the hand to offerings in the deeper side and a fire can occur when a flammable thing falls because the conventional incense stick holder holds an incense stick in ash and the person is not always attend at the stick holder until the incense stick goes off in a small space of a Buddhist altar. SOLUTION: A drainboard in place of ash is integrated in a burner with a lid. The drainboard (drainboard hole opposed to a lid hole) instead of ash is used. A short incense stick is first erected on the drainboard and fired. Then, the lid is put on. A long incense stick can be easily fired even if the lid is put on, and falling ash as the residues is prevented from falling outside the burner and received on the mouth of the burner or the lid.
