Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polyethylene terephthalate resin characterized as high transparency with a small amount of a cyclic trimer after molding and produced by using Ti as a catalyst. SOLUTION: The amount of the cyclic trimer in a molded product obtained by injection molding is regulated to ≤0.40 wt.% by absorbing ≥2,000 ppm of moisture in the polyethylene terephthalate resin containing ≥3 to ≤30 ppm of the Ti and then heat-treating the polyethylene terephthalate at 120-200°C for ≥0.5 h. The Ti atom and P atom are preferably contained in ≤1.3 molar ratio (Ti/P). COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
