Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably carry a paper sheet by making a certain numbers of sheet materials temporally standby and stacking and aligning them while preventing jamming at a previous stage of feeding the sheet materials to a post-processing device, and thereby to improve efficiency of a whole system. SOLUTION: The sheet material is carried by a fixing part 150 to an aligning passage 160 having aligning rollers 153. An aligning flapper 152 is disposed between the fixing part and the aligning rollers The aligning flapper 152 is moved among: a shutoff position wherein the sheet member carried in a direction opposite to a carrying direction of the fixing part by the aligning rollers is prevented; a holding position holding the sheet material carried in an opposite direction by the adjusting roller; and an intermediate position between the shutoff position and the holding position, allowing the sheet material carried by the fixer part to enter into the aligning roller side and not to hinder movement of the sheet material carried by the aligning roller.
