Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable effective use of a file stored at each of a plurality of servers. SOLUTION: When file storing is specified and storing place is not specified (steps 100-104), a file manager reads functional information for every print server currently shared between each print servers, and selects a print server whose printing processing is enabled according to printing setting based on the functional information and the printing setting. At this point, it responds to setting whether it is stored by a job file or a RIP file, management information to the job file or management information to the RIP file is used (steps 118-126). By the above steps, uniform printout can be obtained even if edit processing of linking etc. performs to the job file and the RIP file stored in each of the print server.
