Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the milling device of a convexly recessed part for forming a non-pasting-wanted part at an arbitrarily fixed position in the back of a signature before a bookbinding in the converting device of a perfect binding machine for the bookbinding. SOLUTION: In the milling device of the convexly recessed part for forming the non-pasting-wanted part in the back of the signature before the bookbinding in the perfect binding machine for the bookbinding, through the circulatingly shifting of clampers at the required intervals in an orbit, the signature before the bookbinding is clampingly held to a clamper under the condition that the back of the signature before the bookbinding is projected downwards over the lower edge of the clamper by the required length so as to abut a rotary cutter at the tip part of a rotating crank located below the shifting passage of the clampers and arranged countering towards a crossing direction to the shifting direction of the clampers against the back of the signature before the bookbinding in order to mill the convexly recessed part for forming the non-pasting-wanted part.
