Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve conflicting problems that the culturing of aquatic animals such as crabs violently practicing cannibalism in a pond has a lower survival rate by the cannibalism with a higher rearing density and is hard to accomplish as economical activities at a density ensuring the survival rate at a certain level or higher and a certain area (volume)/crab is required to expect usual growth, etc., and to improve the survival rate and growth rate on the basis of ecology thereof for business development mainly for the crabs. SOLUTION: The cannibalism can be controlled by rearing of each crab with culturing cages. The profitable rearing density is supplemented by stacking the culturing cages in 3-4 stages. A culturing pond functionally and structurally conforming with the purpose of the culturing cages in order to maintain the rearing environment affecting the growth changed thereby is constructed. Other aquatic animals living in the bottom of a water area as a habitat and even biologically and managerially making up for a decrease in the density are set free in the culturing pond to carry out mixed culture.
