Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize (1) compactness of a fuel cell, (2) reduction of use of air electrode material, (3) elimination of electrical loss in the air electrode, and (4) improvement in power generation performance and reduction in manufacturing cost, and compactness of a fuel cell stack. SOLUTION: The structure of a fuel electrode supporting type solid oxide fuel cell comprises a fuel electrode 2 made of a porous body, an electrolyte membrane 3 formed on any one face of the front face and rear face of the fuel electrode 2, an air electrode membrane 4 formed on the electrolyte membrane 3, an air passage 6 which is formed on the other face of the fuel electrode 2 for supplying the air to the air electrode membrane 4 of an adjoining unit cell 1 and is made of a lattice-shape groove, and an interconnector film 5 formed on the face on which the air passage 6 is formed.
