Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pulley device capable of eliminating noise emission and angular swinging of a pulley and of fixing a rolling bearing certainly to the pulley. SOLUTION: The outer ring 13 of a ball bearing 11 is fitted in the cylindrical inside surface 17 of the pulley 1. The interference of the cylindrical inside surface 17 and the peripheral surface of the outer ring 13 with each other is made smaller than conventional, and the raceway surface 19 of the outer ring 13 is prevented from deforming substantially between before and after the outer ring 13 is fitted in the cylindrical inside surface 17. The outer ring 13 is pinched by the first 20 and the second step 21 formed on the two sides in axial direction of the cylindrical inside surface 17 of the pulley 1, and thereby the outer ring 13 is prevented from slipping off from the cylindrical inside surface 17.
