Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the lowering of volumetric efficiency and the occurrence of cavitation. SOLUTION: This internal gear pump 10 comprises an inner rotor 20 on which external teeth 21 are formed, an outer rotor 30 on which internal teeth 31 meshed with the external teeth 21 are formed, and a casing 50 in which a suction port 51 for sucking a fluid and a discharge port 52 for discharging the fluid are formed. The fluid is carried by sucking and discharging the fluid due to the volumetric change of cells C formed between the tooth faces 21b and 31b of both rotors 20 and 30 when the external teeth 21 are meshed with the internal teeth 31 and both rotors 20 and 30 are rotated. Pocket parts 23 opening to end faces 20a and 30a crossing perpendicularly to the rotating axes O1 and O2 of t the rotors 20 and 30 and facing at least the suction port 51 are formed at the positions of the tooth faces among the tooth faces of the external teeth 21 or/and the internal teeth 31 where a meshed portion is avoided.
