Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a disposable diaper with excellent wearing feel, capable of being effectively manufactured. SOLUTION: A diaper body 34 comprises a rear back part 31 to be applied to the back of a user, a front abdomen part 32 to be applied to the abdomen of the user, and a crotch part 33 continuously provided between the rear back part 31 and the front abdomen part 32. A vertically long absorber 35 is disposed in the crotch part 33 from the rear back part 31 to the front abdomen part 32, and three-dimensional gathered parts 68 which can be raised inward are disposed on both sides in the cross direction of the absorber 35 along the longitudinal direction. The absorber 35 has a liquid-absorbent mat part 42 which is formed in a prescribed shape and which has liquid retaining properties. The liquid-absorbent mat part 42 consists of one layer of a mat body 44, and the length of each three-dimensional gathered part 68 is 68-72% of the length of the longitudinal direction of the absorber 35.
