Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pushbutton switch for an elevator enabling smooth pressing operation and reducing the thickness thereof to secure an aesthetic effect by uniformly emitting light from keytops. SOLUTION: This pushbutton switch for the elevator comprises a keytop 4 mounted on a wall surface a so as to be at least exposed to the outside, a light-guide plate 5 fitted to the keytop and reflecting incident light to the keytop, a damping mechanism 3 supporting the keytop and the light-guide plate so that they can always be moved parallel with each other on the wall surface, a light emitting part 7 disposed oppositely to the side surface part 5b of the light-guide plate and radiating light to the side face part of the light-guide plate, a switch body 8 switching the light emitting part to lighting by moving the light-guide plate close to and apart from the light emitting part, and a circuit board 2 on which the switch body, the light emitting part, and the guide member are arranged. The light-guide plate is so formed that its contact face on the switch body forms a reflective surface 5a reflecting the light from the light emitting part to the keytop side.
