Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ice making machine which is not abnormally heated to high temperatures when a refrigerant returning from a refrigerant passage of an ice making plate to a compressor in a deicing operation is evaporated by a heat storing material storing the heat of the refrigerant generated in an ice making operation. SOLUTION: In this ice making machine, the compressed refrigerant of a high temperature and high pressure discharged from the compressor 51 is delivered to a condenser 52 through a three-way valve V3 and a heat storing pipe P3. The compressed refrigerant of a high temperature and high pressure passing through the heat storing pipe 3 is cooled by heat exchange with the heat storing material in a heat exchange tank 54, and heats the heat storing material in the heat exchange tank 54. When a temperature of the heat storing material in the heat exchange tank 54 becomes 40°C, a predetermined temperature, or more on the basis of a detected temperature of a heat exchange tank temperature sensor 54b, the three-way valve V3 is opened to a branch pipe P4 side. Thus the refrigerant of a high temperature and high pressure discharged from the compressor 51 is not delivered to the heat exchange tank 54, and the heat storing material in the heat exchange tank 54 can be prevented from being overheated.
