Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrolyte sheet for a solid oxide fuel cell flat in shape, high in mechanical strength, less in variation with time, and making industrial mass production possible with a raw material easy to industrially obtain and inexpensive. SOLUTION: The electrolyte sheet for the solid oxide fuel cell is formed by a doctor blade process or an extrusion molding process, is a scandia stabilized zirconia sheet containing 4-6 mol% scandia to zirconia, has crystal structure of polycrystal system mainly comprising tetragon and containing monoclinic crystal, has a monoclinic crystal ratio M(%) calculated from diffraction peak intensity by X-ray diffraction based on formula (1) of 1-80%, and a Weibull coefficient (m) not lower than 10.Formula (1): monoclinic crystal ratio (M%)=[[monoclinic(1, 1, 1)+monoclinic (-1, 1, 1)]/[tetragonal and cubic (1, 1, 1)+monoclinic (1, 1, 1)+monoclinic (-1, 1, 1)]]×100.
