PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a picture processor equipped with a writing means for writing the picture data onto an attachable/detachable recording medium, wherein collision of reading/writing of the picture data is prevented and writing of the picture data is efficiently performed. SOLUTION: In a step 104, the amount of picture data accumulated in a hard disk drive is summed up, and in a step 106, whether the job is finished or not is judged. When it is judged that the job is finished, whether the picture data of storage capacity for one sheet of recording media are accumulated or not is judged in a step 108. When it is judged that the picture data are accumulated, a transfer of the picture data to the recording media is displayed on a display section, in a step 110, and the accumulated picture data are transferred to the recording media in a step 112 by driving the disk drive after an input process and an output process of the picture data are made unable to be instructed by the user.
