PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for analyzing the load characteristics of an input/output instruction, deciding whether or not the load of the input/output instruction is equivalent to the input/output instruction of a multi-media application, and controlling the input/output instruction of data to be transmitted to a disk according to the decision result to be equivalent to the multi-media application. SOLUTION: The input/output instruction for inputting or outputting the data of a disk sector is extracted from a disk driver, and a predetermined input/output instruction set is generated from the extracted input/output instruction, and the load characteristics of the input/output instruction are analyzed on the basis of the generated input/output instruction set, and whether or not the load of the input/output instruction is the load of the input/output instruction equivalent to a multimedia application is decided on the basis of the load characteristics of the analyzed input/output instruction, and the data to be inputted or outptuted from the disk are controlled so as to be made equivalent to the multimedia application according to the decision result.
