Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a large current is consumed since the optical pickup moves largely to find the auxiliary information attached to the reproduction data, such as ID 3 tags in the MP3 in a recording medium control device running on batteries. SOLUTION: Checking the ID of the reproduced music, the auxiliary information necessity determination section A127 does not capture the auxiliary information (ID 3 tag) if the reproduction ID comparison section A126 finds that the device is reproducing the music of the same ID as the previous one, but reuses the auxiliary information stored in the auxiliary information storing section A. Thus, the problem is solved by reducing the access frequency to the recording medium. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
