Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a doctor knife that exerts a high-level doctor knife effect presented by deposit/contaminant/foreign matter on a roll surface in use (use especially in a long shape of about 9m) of a long-time continuous operation of a rotary roll in a steelmaking apparatus, coating apparatus, papermaking apparatus, paper processing apparatus, film/sheet production apparatus, marking apparatus, etc., in a severe environment (e.g., high-temperature environment). SOLUTION: The doctor knife has a constitution that the plane of a laminated composite material of a fibrous reinforcing material and a plastic is divided into a blade part having a blade edge part at the edge in length direction and a base part, a collected face of a fibrous reinforcing material in parallel toward the blade edge part in the length direction and a crossing fibrous reinforcing material is arranged at the base part, the fibrous reinforcing material extended to the blade part from the collected face is arranged in parallel toward in the length direction of the blade edge part and the composite material has flexural strength changeable with temperature in the width direction of the base part.
