Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bearing for a motor type fuel pump having corrosion resistance and wear resistance. SOLUTION: The bearing for a motor type fuel pump having corrosion resistance and wear resistance is a bearing composed of a sintered Cu-Ni alloy having a composition consisting of 21 to 35% Ni, 5 to 12% Sn, 3 to 7% C, 0.1 to 0.8% P and the balance Cu with inevitable impurities. The bearing composed of the sintered Cu-Ni alloy has a structure in which pores are dispersedly formed in a substrate at 8 to 18% porosity and the largest amount of P component is contained in the grain boundary zone and, further, free graphite is distributed in the pores. The bearing also has a structure in which an alloy layer of high Sn concentration containing ≥50 mass% Sn is formed on the inner surface of open pores opening on the surface of the bearing composed of the sintered Cu-Ni alloy, on at least the periphery of the opening of the open pores and on the inner surface of internal pores existing in the inner part of the bearing.
