PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting device of a fragile material constituted so as to cut the fragile material to stably form a deep vertical crack by a simple method, a cutting method of the fragile material and the fragile material cut using the cutting device. SOLUTION: The cutting device of the fragile material has a receiver which comes into contact with one main surface of the sheet-like fragile material to receive the fragile material, a cutter wheel brought into contact with the other main surface of the fragile material and a loading device connected to the cutter wheel and applying predetermined load to the fragile material in a direction almost vertical to the fragile material through the cutter wheel. The receiver has a groove on the side of the fragile material on the extension line in the loading direction. The cutting method of the fragile material is also disclosed. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
