Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preventing scale adhesion on the inner surfaces of a polymerization reactor that enables the long-term continuous operation in the polymerization of olefinic monomers, particularly vinyl chloride. SOLUTION: (1) A scale adhesion preventing agent is sprayed in the polymerization reactor under stirring to cause a rise flow along the inner wall of the reactor vessel and a fall flow in the central part of the reactor so that the scale adhesion preventing agent may be circulated whereby the preventing agent is coated on the inside surface of the reactor. (2) In the coating method for the scale adhesion preventing agent, the agitation of the preventing agent is carried out by means of the stirring machine of the polymerization reactor.
