Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording method which enables the formation of an image with high density stability by enabling the reduction of unevenness in the density of a dot group particularly when printing is done by using a minimal droplet in the high-duty status of a halftone-dot system, on the basis of a time-shared drive sequence. SOLUTION: In this inkjet recording method, an approximately row-like recording element array is provided, and an image is formed by ejecting an ink droplet from the recording element array while moving the recording element array relatively to a recording medium in a direction almost orthogonal to the direction of the recording element array. The image forming method, wherein pseudo-halftone recording using a dot-concentrated group (dot-concentrated type image element) is performed on at least a part of a unit image element for forming the image, comprises: a step of setting an ejection time-shared drive sequence of the recording element; and a step of making the center-line side of the dot-concentrated type image element (cluster) precede in the ejection sequence, and of setting the end of the cluster to follow the center-line side in the ejection sequence.
