Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas adsorbing filter medium having excellent removal performance of poisonous gas in the air, less re-releasing of trace out-gas or the like, and flame retardancy. SOLUTION: The gas adsorbing filter medium supports a humectant such as lithium bromide, which absorbs moisture in the air and holds it on the surface of a substrate, on the surface of the substrate such as polypropylene. With the water retention performance, which makes water-soluble (polar) gas to be easily drawn and held, the filter medium supports an adsorbent such as zinc sulfate, calcium carbonate, or iodine for adsorbing a predetermined gas such as an acidic gas or a basic gas.
