PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of removing smear components effectively, and to provide an imaging method and its program. SOLUTION: When a shutter button is depressed by a user, AE-AF processing is performed (step S3), still image photography processing is performed with an exposure time determined by AE processing, and obtained image data is stored in an image data holding section 20 (step S4). Subsequently, still image photography processing is performed with an exposure time equal to 1/k times of the exposure time determined by AE processing, and obtained image data is stored in an image data holding section 21 (step S5). The image data holding sections 20 and 21 output the stored image data to a creation means 22 where image data free from smear component is created from the transmitted image data and outputted to a CPU 9 (step S6).
