Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct tilting of an optical connector with respect to a back plane and to enable to take out the optical waveguide of the optical connector from either the back side or the front side of the back plane. SOLUTION: In an optical connector 1, a mounting hole Q having a larger diameter than the external diameter of a spacer R is made on a back plane P at the position corresponding to the place where the optical connector 1 is to be mounted on the surface of the back plane P. A gap is provided between the mounting hole Q and the spacer R being inserted. The spacer R is inserted into the mounting hole Q of the back plane P through a spring S and by screwing in the top section of the spacer R, which is passed through the mounting hole of a holder 2, into a bolt V, the optical connector 1 is mounted onto the back plane P. Thus, the height of the holder 2, in which the connection section introduced from an optical fiber 4A mounted on the surface of the back plane P that passes a notch 2A and optically connected to an MT ferrule 4, is made variable.
