Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently produce fibrous carbon particles having such a structure as to include various materials such as an organic compound and a metal in a hollow part surrounded by carbon crystal wall. SOLUTION: A method for producing the fibrous carbon particles is provided, comprising contacting fibrous carbon particles with a liquid containing at least a liquefiable material precursor, wherein the fibrous carbon particles as raw material each has a single hollow part surrounded by carbon crystal wall and each has a major axis of 40 nm to 10 μm.
