Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel technique which reduces the background noise and achieves enhancement of the S/N ratio. SOLUTION: This detection part is used when the specific or complementary interaction between a probe molecule X and a target molecule Y is detected, on the basis of the fluorescence signal from a fluorescent substance and equipped with at least a reaction region R for providing a place of the interaction and the detection surface D facing the reaction region R. The detection surface D provides the interaction detecting part 1, formed of a metal or an alloy for exciting surface plasmon, a substrate using the detection part 1, a device that uses using the detection part 1 and a method that uses the detection part 1.
