Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a match request system in a video game device in which a user can make his/her own character fight with a specified rival and play a match against another player without the constraints of playing place and time. SOLUTION: Traveling data from a game machine 1b are stored in a server unit 14 and a match request is transmitted to an opponent specified by WEB contents or a game machine body. The match request is transmitted from the server unit 14 to a game machine played by a specified player. For instance, when the player of the game machine 1d is an opponent to whom a match is requested, the opponent player selects whether or not to accept the match request, and when accepting the match request, play is performed together with the reproducing image of the play data of a challenger.
