Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a file management for shortening a time to be imposed on processing by suppressing the number of times of access to a file, and for suppressing the increase of power consumption. SOLUTION: This file management device for storing meta information showing the attributes of main body information being information following the target of contents in a meta information table 205 different from a file for storing the main body information is provided with a file management program 202 for managing a file by referring to the stored meta information. Also, the meta information table 205 is provided with a plurality of entries where the data length of storable information is equal, and each of those entries stores meta information.
