Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording apparatus which has a purpose to keep a quality of printing when the printing is started, and prevents a first delivery from being deteriorated and performs a preliminary delivery in the order of an ink easily performing the first delivery. SOLUTION: In the inkjet recording apparatus having a plurality of recording heads and performing successively preliminary delivering on respective recording heads, the preliminary delivering is successively performed from an ink color easily performing the first delivery. It is possible thereby to prevent an ink from sticking and increasing in viscosity on the head face surface/around a nozzle/in the nozzle between the preliminary delivering and starting of the printing, and to prevent printed matter printed on a recording medium when the printing is started from being deteriorated.
