Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To apply a reverse bias current to an organic electroluminescence (OEL) element by an active element structure. SOLUTION: An OEL display apparatus comprises; the OEL element 100 which is included in a plurality of pixels; a first electrode line 136 and a second electrode line 140 which flow a light emitting current to the OEL element of at least any one of pixels; first current control means 120 and 122 for controlling the light emitting current which should be flown to the OEL element by the first electrode line and the second electrode line; and second current control means 124 and 126 for flowing the reverse bias current which has a opposite direction to the light emitting current, to the OEL element.
