Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for improving an SS (stress-strain)-characteristic and oil resistance of a crosslinked elastomer composition. SOLUTION: The method for producing the elastomer composition comprises polymerizing a crosslinked elastomer composition in the coexistence of at least one sort of a radical polymerizable monomer (B) and at least one sort of a radical initiator (C) in a fluid (A), that is a gas at ordinary temperature and pressure and kept under elevated pressure, by heating at a temperature not lower than the temperature, where a half value period of the radical initiator is 10 h, while impregnating the components (B) and (C) into the crosslinked elastomer composition.
