Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for applying release agent onto the end edge part of a cavity with which a metal molding product having such special shape as a thin metal molding product, a whole long length molding product to the flowing direction of molten metal, can be obtained. SOLUTION: A movable side die (10) is clamped with a fixed side die (2) and also, the relation of an abutting force and a closing degree of an injection nozzle (N) to an injection hole in the fixed side die is beforehand examined, and the injection nozzle (N) is brought into contact with the injection hole in the fixed side die (2) with the abutting force for obtaining a prescribed closing degree, to apply the release agent with a prescribed pressure. Then, if necessary, the one-side end part of the cavity (7) is opened or the gas is exhausted from the end part. The release agent is mixed with compressed gas and applied as the mist. Further, the pressure difference between the pressure loaded to the release agent and the pressure in the cavity, and the pressure difference between the pressure of the compressed gas and the pressure in the cavity, are held to the constant to apply the release agent.
