Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power window device capable of quickly decelerating a window speed when a window member is closed in the case a closing operation of the window member is performed. SOLUTION: When a rising operation of a PW switch 5 is performed in order to make the closing operation of a window pane in a closing state, a controller 6 drives a driving motor 4 by a relay circuit 7, the window pane is made to rise. In the case of the closing operation, the controller 6 calculates a remaining open amount of the window pane, and the comparison of the remaining open amount with a deceleration starting threshold is performed. When controller 6 decides that the remaining open amount is within the deceleration starting threshold (in other words, when the window pane is closed), first of all, an FET 8 is switched to an OFF state. Successively, the controller 6 connects a movable contact 15a of a relay contact 15 to the second fixed contact 15c in a state to connect a movable contact 13a of a relay contact 13 to the second fixed contact 13c, and the relay circuit 7 is changed into a short-circuit state.
