Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite material introduced with a calcium phosphate layer and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: In this composite material, a calcium phosphate-based compound layer of nanometer order thick in the range of 1-100 nm is formed on a substrate surface having a functional group capable of precipitating apatite, and in this composite material, there is a structure of precipitated apatite on the surface of the composite material in which a calcium phosphate-based compound layer of nanometer order thick in the range of 1-100 nm is formed on a substrate surface having a functional group capable of precipitating apatite. This manufacturing method is a manufacturing method of the above-mentioned composite materials. The composite materials are useful as a bio-adaptable material and an environmental cleanup material.
