PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for displaying error information for an electronic component mounting system which can arbitrarily set display of the error information of an error information display device for each user. SOLUTION: At the shipment of the electronic component mounting system from the manufacturer to a user, by using an error code conversion table 12 in which error code outputted from an electronic component mounting device is paired with error information displayed with the error information display device, the setting of display of error information in the error information display device (an image display device 1, a signal tower 2, a host computer 3) is made as a setting matching a request from the user side or a setting predetermined by the manufacturer side, and the system is shipped. After shipping from the manufacturer, if it is required to change the setting of display of error information in the error information display device by the user, the user can change, with the error code conversion table 12, the setting of display of error information in the error information display device.
