Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively control electronic equipment operated in two or more kinds of modes including a normal mode, a security mode, and/or a power-saving mode. SOLUTION: The electronic equipment is operated in two or more kinds of modes including the normal mode, the security mode, and/or the power-saving mode. The electronic equipment includes an input device for inputting information to the electronic equipment with manipulation by a person from outside, a sensor, which is provided to a rest part of the input device and generates a prescribed signal corresponding to the detection that a part of a body of the person to execute the manipulation exists in the rest part, and a signal generator which generates a signal for commanding the electronic equipment not to shift to the security mode and/or the power-saving mode on the basis of the prescribed signal generated by the sensor.
