Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent respective parts from breaking down due to cleaning of cleaning blade. SOLUTION: In making an intermediate transfer body 12 rotate in a direction reverse to the prescribed direction required for rotating the transfer body 12 at an image forming processing, in order to clean the cleaning blade 13, photoreceptors 1a to 1d are separated from the intermediate transfer body 12 (B). Thus, respective parts, such as the photoreceptors 1a to 1d, are prevented from moving in the opposite direction, accompanying the rotation of the intermediate transfer body 12 in the opposite direction, then, respective parts are prevented from breaking down due to the cleaning blade cleaning operation.
