Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magenta toner for electrostatic image development excellent in low-temperature fixability, having hot offset resistance and hot storage resistance, satisfying both fixability and flying-off property of magenta toner in particular, and also ensuring product safety. SOLUTION: In the magenta toner for electrostatic image development containing at least a binder resin and a colorant, a naphthol-based pigment having one of specific three structures including at least formula (1) is contained as the colorant, and the binder resin contains a polyester resin, at least a resin component of which contains an inorganic tin (II) compound as a catalyst.
