PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crimped yarn for a carpet, bulky, excellent in color developing property, soil-preventing property and setting resistance, suppressing the formation of fluffs caused by scratches with guides and needles on tufting and having a high process stability, a method for producing the same and a carpet. SOLUTION: This crimped yarn for the carpet consisting of a multi-filament having crimps and obtained by using a poly(trimethylene terephthalate) as a raw material is characterized in that (1) the multi-filament contains 0.1-4 wt.% particles having 0.01-2 μm mean particle diameter and (2) the directly taken crimp elongation rate of the multi-filament is 2.5-10%.
